Product Empties: February

Hello beauties,

I don’t typically do product empties post on my blog, but because I have so many at the moment I thought it would be easier to share as a blog post. Let me know if you want a more in depth review of any of the products mentioned.

product-empties-1

Go To Properly Clean

This is a beautiful, simple, no fuss foaming cleanser. I prefer to use it as a morning cleanser. Click here for a full review of the Go To Skincare range.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

This was so old and well overdue to be thrown out. I really like this beauty sponge and think its a great dupe for the original Beauty Blender. Click here for a comparison of the two.

Beauty Blender

I switch up between the Beauty Blender and the Real Techniques sponge to apply my foundation. I love applying my base with a sponge!

DUO Eyelash Adhesive

I think I got a dud glue. It smelt funny and I found it difficult to use.

Sunsense Lip Balm*

Not my favourite lip balm. But I did like using it when I went to the beach as it had SPF.

Skinstiut Gentle Cleanser*

Didn’t expect much from this cleanser but fell in love with it. While it is a gentle gel cleanser, it was still effective to use in the evening to remove all traces of makeup.

Emma Hardie Age Support Cream*

Really liked this sample of the Emma Hardie cream. Was a beautiful, nourishing face cream to use at night. Would definitely consider buying it but I think they’ve stopped making it…

Social Eyes- Glamorous Shorty lashes

My all time favourite lashes to use! Easy to apply, natural with an extra oomph! Love love love!

Elucent Whitening Eye Cream*

Didn’t expect to like this but grew to like it over time. It was thin and light weight and brightened my under eye area.

Gillette Venus Blade

A no fuss razor blade. Great for the under arms, but probably not good for the legs as it doesn’t have a nourishing cream/ soap strip.

Manuka Biotic Body Wash*

I loved that this smelt herbal and natural. It wasn’t overly nourishing but I think it would be most suited for people with body acne as the Manuka Oil has antibacterial properties.

Simple Spotless Skin Cleansing Wipes

My go to face wipes. I find these are the most effective in removing makeup.

Go To Lips!

Great lip balm, sad to see if go. Would consider repurchasing.

Wildcrafted Organics Botanical Mist*

I’m about to make a big claim, but I think this is my all time favourite face mist! The smell is amazing, not over powering and the mist is super fine. Would definitely consider repurchasing.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Face Mask

One of my first face masks that I fell in love with. Great drugstore face mask that is most suitable for people with oily or blemish prone skin.

Benefit Porefessional

Love this! For a dupe, check out the Innoxa Skin Pore Perfecting Cream.

Innoxa Skin Perfecting BB Powder 5 in 1

This has to be my favourite drugstore bronzer. Not too orangey and not too glittery.

Elucent Whitening Hand Cream*

I didn’t really like this hand cream. Not as nourishing as I would have liked but it did do that job.

Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm

I love the Aesop Body Balms, but they’re just so expensive! I have some back ups so I won’t need to repurchase for a while.

Redwin Coconut Body Oil

The main reason I’m throwing this is out, is because I spilt it on my mat. Other than that its a great body oil and more light weight than normal coconut oil.

  1. I think I’ll need to try the glamorous shorties. I have 3 pairs of lashes from SocialEyes but they are all so big and massive and long on my face it makes me look ridiculous! I’ve been turned off their lashes but the glamorous shorties definitely sound like my type of lashes
